Schools open for personal item pick-up

March 16, 2020

Dear Students and Parents,

Schools will be open tomorrow (Tuesday, March 17) for students to pick up their Chromebooks, personal items (PE clothes, Backpacks, Band Instruments, books, etc.),  and any medical items currently in the office. Schools will be open between 9:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

We recommend that parents pick-up materials for K-5 students and parents or students may pick-up items at the Middle and High Schools during the same time period.

Parents of 3rd, 4th and 5th-grade students will have the opportunity to check out a district-provided Chromebook and charger. Parents will need to sign a Chromebook form to check out these devices.  If any 5th-grade through 12th-grade students has a Chromebook that isn’t working, you may bring this device into the school and have those needed repairs fixed, free of charge.

As a reminder, all school facilities will be closed from Wednesday, March 18 through Friday, April 3, 2020.  As promised, additional information regarding the hard closing of schools will be forthcoming. Please visit the district website (www.uinta1.com) for the most up-to-date information.

Please know of our concern for each child and family during this unprecedented event.

Sincerely ,

UCSD #1 Administration

CDC Recommendations: Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds especially after you have been in a public place, or after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.

  • If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. Cover all surfaces of your hands and rub them together until they feel dry.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.

Avoid close contact

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick
Put distance between yourself and other people if COVID-19 is spreading in your community. This is especially important for people who are at higher risk of getting very sick.
